You will develop bridge structures design guidelines, design of standard and major bridges, bridge components and bridge rails. Review consultant designs to advise the Regions on conformance with structural and safety standards, and effectiveness in cost and performance. Provides in-house consulting on structural engineering issues to regional bridge personnel and other staff, and works as an effective team member with all stakeholders in providing safe and quality bridge structures for the travelling public.Qualifications Required:
B.SC. in Civil Engineering from a recognized university, extensive directly related experience including complex structural design and analysis, and eligibility for membership in APEGGA (Association of Professional Engineers, Geologists & Geophysicists of Alberta).
