Requirements:
This Director of Finance role requires a qualified CA, CGA or CMA with very strong accounting experience. Candidates meeting the requirements who are in final stages or strong pursuit of the designation may also be considered. Eight or more years of progressive and focused accounting experience in the creative professional services industry is a requirement along with strong organization skills and the ability to manage multiple stakeholders. You are comfortable with regulatory filing requirements, administration of payroll, project reporting, as well as development of budgeting and forecasting. As a candidate of interest for this Director of Finance role, you are a natural leader with strong communication and interpersonal skills. Other essential requirements include a strong working knowledge of Canada's generally accepted accounting principles and the hunger to excel in project based work environment. Our client, located in downtown Toronto, is looking for a strong Director of Finance to manage the monthly financial reporting package, cash flow of operations, and assist with the day-to-day financial management of its multi-transactional operations. In this autonomous role, you will report directly to Partners and interact with clients primarily in the Request for Proposal project phase.
As a Director of Finance, this opportunity includes the following responsibilities:
Maintaining the integrity and completeness of the general ledger and managing monthly, quarterly and annual reporting requirements; managing a team of two to four; financial statement consolidations and account reconciliations; assisting with the preparation of working paper files, schedules and other requirements of external auditors; provision of all necessary support on accounting issues and tax filings; assisting in cash management and forecasting along with monitoring loan agreements and foreign exchange transactions.
