Our client is one of the largest construction firms providing services to the institutional, industrial, civil and municipal sectors. They work with industrial clients to meet their construction needs in various industry sectors. As a contractor, they provide civil, electrical, structural, and mechanical construction services using a skilled Building Trades workforce.
The Spooler position will report to the Chief Draftsperson in the Fabrication Facility, the Spooler will work as part of a team responsible for the production of shop fabrication drawings.
Key Responsibilities:Producing shop fabrication drawings utilizing Acorn, Spoolgen and AutoCADWorking with general arrangement, isometric and P&ID drawingsReading and understanding customer specificationsProducing spool drawings from isometric and/or orthographic drawingsVerifying all information on client provided isometricsVerifying all red line mark ups by the checkerHelping maintain information within ICMS (Integrated Construction Management System)Requirements:Post-secondary Diploma in Engineering Design and Drafting Technology1-3 years of spool fabrication experienceComputer software proficiency in Acorn, Spoolgen, AutoCAD, Microsoft Word and ExcelExcellent organizational skills in order to handle multiple deadlines and tasks within a high-pressure work environmentExcellent interpersonal and communications skillsAbility to work effectively in a team.This is a Full time PERMANENT role with excellent benefits.
