Oracle Database Analyst/Administrator

Job Informations: Our client is looking for an Oracle Database Analyst/Administrator to support their high availability environment.
The purpose of this job is to provide database administration of all the Corporate Production, QA, Development and Test databases. The role involves the establishment and utilization of effective policies and procedures for the definition, management, protection, and efficient utilization of systems, data and databases. This includes running scripts, installation, migration, monitoring, backup and recovery, tuning, resolving complex client related problems, and resolving all database related work/change orders in a timely manner. This is a hands-on intermediate technical support role that involves timely 7x24 support, as defined by in-house policies, of mission critical and other databases and software.
Skills required:
Database Management experience in the deployment, administration and maintenance of software such as Oracle, MYSQL, and MS SQL Server.
Specifically including the following technologies:
1. Oracle 10g, 9i, & 8 on Unix & Linux
2. Oracle RAC, ClusterWare, ASM, Partitioning, Grid Control, & RMAN
3. MYSQL 5.x on Linux
4. MS SQL Server 2000 & 2005
Experience working with teams such as QA, Operations, Architecture, etc.
Oracle and MYSQL database Performance and Monitoring experience in the Distributed/Open Systems environment.
Minimum 3+ years Database Management hands-on experience
Database backup, recovery and Disaster Recovery experience with high availability solutions.
Technical understanding of Solaris, Linux, Windows and Enterprise class Servers, including VMWare ESX 3.x.
Experience in highly available systems and RAID configurations.
University degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
