Payroll Accountant

Job Informations: Our Client is currently seeking an individual who is currently working towards a CGA or CMA Designation. The ideal candidate will be responsible for various accounting activities including but not limited to: payroll accruals, benefit accruals, accounts for WCB and other payroll related liability account.
The incumbent must have a strong background in accounting and payroll, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and strong analytical and organizational skills. Experience in the Oil and Gas sector is definitely an asset.
Job Description:
Liaise with Payroll, Auditors and ManagementOverseeing the payroll function to ensure its accuracyRunning a shadow payrollInternal time writingRegional payroll tax complianceAct as technical lead for local payrollManage provincial/federal tax remittances Help improve processes Perform variance analysisPrepare monthly, quarterly and annual budget Calculates and reconcile taxable benefits Monitoring cash receipts and disbursements. Prepare month end journal entries, government remittances. Proven ability to work effectively within a team environmentThe successful candidate will be self motivated and have expert knowledge and experience in accounting & payroll. The incumbent must be able to present and maintain a professional and positive image.
