Job Informations: npower renewables is a growing organisation with a number of large projects under development in Wales and an increasing portfolio. We are looking to recruit Renewables Developers to lead on or assist with these projects. These roles are either based in our South Wales office located between Cardiff and Swansea (within 30 minutes of Gower's beaches and the Brecon Beacons National Park) or our HQ in Swindon.

We are seeking an experienced Renewables Developer to participate in all aspects of the development of new wind farms; ranging from site identification and acquisition, through environmental assessment, wind farm design and financial appraisal, to securing planning consents and assisting with the delivery of the project.
The role involves predominantly leading on the development of large Welsh wind farm projects over 50MW in size. This is a diverse role that includes project management, managing consultants, dealing with the media, commercial evaluation of projects and influencing key stakeholders. It also involves providing some coaching and advice on a broad range of core and technical skills to other Developers within the regional team.
You will have experience of developing wind farms and have excellent communication and organisational skills. You will be comfortable working with a significant degree of autonomy and negotiating with landowners, agents, planning officers and other stakeholders.
You will have an understanding of the renewables market in the UK and are likely to have a relevant engineering, planning, forestry, surveying or environmental degree followed by significant hands-on experience gained in the wind industry, rural management, local government or consultancy.
Whilst not essential, some knowledge of the geography of Wales and the ability to speak Welsh would be useful.
