Renewables Developer Baglan, Cardiff, Swansea, South Wales, Swindon, Wiltshire




Job Informations: npower renewables is a growing organisation with a number of large projects under development in Wales and an increasing portfolio. We are looking to recruit Renewables Developers to lead on or assist with these projects. These roles are either based in our South Wales office located between Cardiff and Swansea (within 30 minutes of Gower's beaches and the Brecon Beacons National Park) or our HQ in Swindon.

npower renewables is a subsidiary of RWE Innogy. RWE Innogy pools the renewable energy expertise and generating plant of the RWE Group. The company plans, builds and operates renewable power generation facilities and aims to vigorously grow its renewable energy capacity in the UK and Continental Europe. In the UK, npower renewables operates over 450MW of wind and hydro capacity and is one of the UK's leading renewable energy developers and operators.

Baglan, South Wales or Swindon, Wiltshire


For this role you will either have some wind farm development experience or alternatively, directly relevant experience gained in engineering, planning, forestry, surveying or environmental management.
Either way you will have excellent communication and organisational skills, and a desire to progress or pursue a career in the growing renewables sector. The role will involve participating in all aspects of the development of new wind farms; these will range from site identification and acquisition, through environmental assessment, wind farm design and financial appraisal, to securing planning consents and assisting with the delivery of the project.
You are likely to have a relevant degree followed by some hands-on experience gained in the wind industry, rural management, local government or Consultancy.

Whilst not essential, some knowledge of the geography of Wales and the ability to speak Welsh would be useful.
